Advantage of PMC Tin Stabilizers

  • Outstanding cost/performance ratio.
  • Excellent initial and long-term color hold.
  • Excellent heat stability.
  • Outstanding dynamic term stability.
  • Low amperage and back pressure for high extrusion rates.
  • Low use level with excellent whiteness.
  • May be substituted in part for more expensive products, without changing processing conditions.
  • Slightly lubricating.
  • Easy processing of regrind.
  • Thermolite® 140 / Thermolite® 176 approved for potable water applications on the NSF-PPI Generic Range Formulation

Thermolite® 31: Concentrated dibutyltin thioester heat stabilizer used as a stabilizer in vinyl plastics, especially for effective processing of chlorinated PVC polymers. Thermolite® 31 provides excellent heat stability in high shear, difficult injection molding processes for both PVC and CPVC products.

Thermolite® 140: Butyltin mercaptide PVC heat stabilizer created for today’s high output extrusion rates. It is specially designed for co-extruded siding, profile and fence substrate as well as the more demanding pipe applications where good stability and color hold are needed. Thermolite® 140 heat stabilizer imparts excellent early color and good dynamic stability to PVC formulations. It has proven to be especially effective for use in extrusion of all sizes of pipes, co-extruded siding, profiles and fencing substrate formulations

Thermolite® 176: Low-cost, high-performance liquid butyltin mercaptide PVC heat stabilizer. Thermolite® 176 heat stabilizer is protected under US patent 6,919,392 and all its foreign equivalents. Thermolite® 176 heat stabilizer can be used in many rigid PVC applications, particularly PVC pipe formulations where whiteness and output rates are important.

Thermolite® 890F: : Octyltin PVC Heat Stabilizer used in PVC calendering, extrusion and injection to produce films, sheets, bottles, pipes and fittings, providing outstanding transparency and low odor performance. It is recommended for use as heat stabilizer in all rigid PVC applications. It is an optimized combination of di and mono octyl tin thioester specially adapted to high sheer applications such as calendering, injection molding and fittings or pipe extrusion. In addition to its outstanding stabilizing efficiency, its low volatile contents help to reduce odor both during processing and in the final products.
